Perrow a community leader, best choice for City Council position

PENSINSULA GATEWAY LETTER TO THE EDITOR  |  October 14, 2015

Editor:

Together, the four of us represent many years in our chosen occupation: education. Many pupils stand out as exemplary models of our educational goals. Michael Perrow is a prime example. We observed Michael move through his school years, succeeding in academics and sports. At a young age and fully engaged in school, he additionally created a merchandising business.

Following his senior year as Student Body President of Peninsula High School, Michael graduated and moved on to Gonzaga University and received a degree in Business Administration. With his merchandising business flourishing, he married his wife Kelly, and is raising two children, Ryan and Annie.

Michael has now become a leader in our community. Michael became a volunteer on the Parks Commission and eventually the chairman. He has been deeply involved with the development of the Cushman Trail, acquiring new city parks, supporting accessible playgrounds for all abilities, funding for the historic Wilkinson barn, and organizing volunteers for Park’s Appreciation Day. He continues his commitment to the city by watering hanging baskets, weeding and planting seedling trees often at his own expense.

As the incumbent for Position No. 6 of the City Council Michael has demonstrated his ability to study and research issues. He has not rushed to judgement and his decisions reflect respect for city growth while preserving the quality of life we strive to retain.

We give Michael an “A+” for all he has done for our community. He is the best choice for Gig Harbor City Council Positon No. 6. Join us, his proud former educators, in reelecting Michael Perrow.
